2/18/05 To whom it may concern: My husband and I are writing this letter to any potential clients of Therese Pearman. We want to share our very positive experience of having Therese as our wedding photographer on 8/13/04. We planned our NJ wedding from Florida, where we live. As you can imagine, this can prove to be a stressful endeavor. However, from our first meeting with Therese, it was a pleasure to work with her. She is extremely professional and detail oriented, yet she is also a funny and genuine person. I hope I can adequately convey to you the qualities that made Therese a photographer that we would highly recommend to other couples. Approximately one month before our wedding, I contacted Therese as I was making a list of ?must take? photos. I was started to get anxious about the ?details? of how we would get all of the photos done before the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. Therese was very reassuring and calm, and she helped me understand the various options for the logistics of getting the pictures done. We made plans for how my husband and I would have our pictures done separately prior to the ceremony, but then the day before the wedding the plans had to be changed because of constraints from my reception site. We ended up having pictures done at a location that she had never seen before, but Therese was flexible and she was able scope out the location quickly for the photos. The pictures she did at this new location are absolutely stunning. She was able to find amazing backdrops for the photos, and was able to get all of our ?must take? pictures done efficiently. We were under a time crunch, but in looking at the pictures you would never know it! She moved seamlessly from one photo to the next, and the resulting photographs are beautiful. Oh, and through all of the chaos, she maintained a calm demeanor and an awesome sense of humor! The main thing my husband and I wanted from Therese was for the only posed shots to be done immediately pre-ceremony and post-ceremony. All other photos (bride and groom getting ready, ceremony, and reception) were to be candid. I cannot explain how pleased we are with the result. I literally was welling up with tears while looking at some photos, and laughing out loud at other photos because they so genuinely captured the day and our feelings. When she was taking candid pictures of me and my attendants/ family, we hardly knew that she was in the room, but she managed to capture moments that were subtle yet very meaningful to us. In addition, there are pictures from the reception that I will cherish forever because of the emotion she caught on camera. And even though Ben and I hate posing for pictures, we knew that we had to do some in a posed style. However, Therese has a personality that made even the posed photos seem easy. I don?t think there is one photo of us that she took in which we don?t have genuine smiles on our faces. Overall, the reasons why we highly recommend Therese is that she is extremely talented and has a creative eye, she is detailed and professional, and her warm and funny personality makes her a pleasure to work with. Having great photographs from our wedding day was a top priority for us, and we can honestly say that our photos from Therese reflect the true spirit of our wedding day.
