I first met Marv when he shot my sister?s wedding. He was very professional and did an excellent job. As soon as I became engaged I first went to visit Marv and asked him to be our photographer. In our photo package we had an engagement photo session included. Marv took a day out of his busy schedule to travel south of Seattle with us to the spot where my husband and I met, and where we were engaged. We had dinner, got to know each other, and took lots of pictures. Marv then prepared CDs for us with our engagement photos in a slide show set to music. We had not even had our wedding and were incredibly impressed. The day before the wedding, Marv came to the wedding rehearsal. He met everyone, and got to know the space. He was prepared as a good photographer and had his camera, but he never took it out. He wanted to get to know people, and have everyone comfortable around him. The day of the wedding, Marv showed up early, but started shooting right away. As soon as he started, he didn?t stop. As the ladies were getting ready, we never felt his or his assistance presence. They were merely flies on the wall documenting our experiences. He was extremely calm. At a moment in the limo when a box of bouquets fell over and we heard water go rushing out in the back of the limo with the equipment, he did not panic. He calmly asked the limo driver to pull over when convenient. Luckily, none of the equipment was wet. However, his attitude calmed my nerves as a nervous and anxious bride. All of our photo sessions were done professionally and expertly. We didn?t just get together and stand for photos. We lived the moment and Marv caught it. Yes, we had posed photos, but Marv doesn?t miss a second. At the ceremony and reception everyone commented on how professional he was. The guests were amazed at the amount of photos he had taken, but at the same time how no one noticed him. He blended into the background, and was not obtrusive. He did an exceptional job. My family and I have been nothing but impressed with the quality of photography and professionalism of Marv Heston. However, his relationship with us did not end after the wedding. He has remained a family friend. His relationship with us is not just professional, but personal. He has extended a level of kindness to us that we never would have expected. I would recommend Marv to anyone who is looking for a high level of photography. More importantly, I would recommend Marv for someone looking for a photographer who is going to not just be professional, but more importantly personal. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Marv Heston, and you will not regret choosing him as your photographer.
