Hello, I am writing to you to submit my feedback regarding the above contractor. Mr. Kevin Robinson, the contractor provided under MBHI, for the painting of my condo, proved to be very unsatisfactory in the performance of this paint job. Mr. Robinson was very accommodating and appeared to be conscientious throughout this project, however, he fell short in terms of timeliness and performance. Mr. Robinson was scheduled to begin work on a Wednesday and verbally stated that he would be completed by Friday. Unfortunately, my air conditioner was not working and I did not think it was safe to have Mr. Robinson working under such hot and humid conditions. I called and left a voicemail to let him know this, however, when I did not hear a response I assumed that this was okay. When I finally was able to talk to Mr. Robinson he was annoyed that I re-scheduled and told me that he had another job and was unable to start 1-day later as requested on the voicemail. I was annoyed that I never received a voicemail from him stating this and immediately cancelled the job. When he acted as if a problem existed in returning my deposit (we agreed that I would give him 1/2 up front which amounted to $225), rather than deal with that drama, I decided to keep him on with the original agreement to paint. This proved to be a big mistake. Mr. Robinson came back to my house last Wednesday to complete the job. On Tuesday, we talked over some of my concerns with the job and he promised to correct them the following day, Wednesday. When I arrived to my home on Wednesday evening, I found that very few things were corrected. I left a note for Mr. Robinson to call me when he returned and he ignored this request. In fact, a huge spot of blue paint was spilled on the beige carpet in the living room. Later I found small amounts of paint spilled in every room on the carpet. It appears that Mr. Robinson attempted to clean up the paint in the living room, only to smudge is further into the rug. As of the writing of this email, the paint stain remains and I have not heard from Mr. Robinson. The most obvious dissappointment is the kitchen. The paint job is very noticably uneven. Paint was spilled on the appliances and he did not do a good job in painting around appliances that were not able to be moved. Further things to note is that Mr. Robinson removed a cleaning rag that I had in the bathroom and when questioned on its whereabouts, did not answer. He also failed to remove his trash from areas of the kitchen and living room. After careful inspection of the paint job, it clearly resembles that of an amateur and appears that only 1 coat of paint was put on the walls. He was sloppy in painting around the wall outlets and jacks and several of them have paint droppings on them. Please understand that I take full responsibility for the job I have received because I did not interview all prospects that Respond Referrals provided. I was in a hurry to get the job done and failed to review some of MBHI's previous work.
