A very positive experience. Prior to my contact with Argent, I had more than 15 different HVAC contractors evaluate a section of my carriage house that had no heating and air conditioning and no ductwork. Despite my attempts to explain my needs carefully and screen the contractors over the phone, most of the companies sent agents who (by their own admission) were unqualified to handle anything other than the replacement of a conventional, existing heat pump and air handler. In fact, most of the contractors simply disappeared and never provided an estimate. I received three bids: One for an A/C system only; another was for a system that, according to equipment manufacturers, was not designed for my needs (the system would provide minimal heat in normal operation and virtually no heat when outside temperatures were below 25 degrees); and another for a complicated system that would be extraordinarily expensive to install and would be uncertain in its effectiveness. By contrast, Argent provided a thoughtful, creative, cost-effective plan for a system that involved the least compromises in performance. Sales staff, installers, and service and office staff are all extremely professional, careful, and responsive.
